NEMI’s specific aims are to:
- Make the region attractive to inward investors in microelectronics and related technologies, including semiconductors.
- Help firms to be more competitive through the design, production and use of electronic devices and systems.
- Encourage the growth of new indigenous technology based small firms.
- Manage the Centre for Advanced Industry and other property ventures that fit with support activity for technology based SMEs and which can be carried out profitably.
